Framework Development for Quantum Computing Design Space Exploration

What to expect:

Are you ready to revolutionize the field of quantum computing? We're seeking a talented and motivated PhD candidate to join our collaborative research project between the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Technical University of Munich (TUM).

As a Quantum Computing Researcher, you'll play a key role in developing a framework that empowers developers to explore the vast design space of quantum computing approaches. Your expertise in algorithmic design and computational modeling will be instrumental in shaping the future of quantum computing applications for emergency and law enforcement services.

  • contribute to cutting-edge research in collaboration with renowned institutions
  • pursue a Ph.D. within the project, supported by experienced researchers and advisors
  • publish your research findings in top-tier academic journals and present at prestigious conferences

Your responsibilities are:

  • develop innovative methods and algorithms for the framework that facilitate design space exploration
  • collaborate closely with academic partners and industry stakeholders to understand their requirements and challenges
  • utilize computational modeling techniques to analyze and optimize quantum computing algorithm performance
  • integrate your research into the open-source Munich Quantum Toolkit, driving forward the development of quantum computing solutions

What we expect from you:

  • master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, or a related field
  • experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java
  • proven experience in algorithm design and computational modeling
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • knowledge of quantum computing architectures, algorithms, and data structures is a plus and highly valued
