We are looking for the Institute of Sports and Sports Science (IFSS) as soon as possible, limited to 3 years, for an

PhD candidate (f/m/d)

75 % part-time

Your Responsibilities

  • Independent coordination, implementation, and evaluation of scientific research projects in the field of health psychology, with a particular focus on rehabilitation and prevention.
  • Publishing research results in reputable English-language journals.
  • Supporting other tasks within the Department of Health Education and Sport Psychology (e.g., teaching).
  • Conducting a doctoral thesis in the field of health behavior and physical activity, with the goal of actively shaping the scientific profile of the institute.

Your Profile

  • An above-average university degree (Master) in an empirically oriented field (e.g., psychology, sociology, health sciences, public health, empirical educational sciences).
  • High motivation and passion for scientific work, combined with a strong interest in deepening and expanding your knowledge.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in both German and English.
  • Outstanding knowledge in research methods, statistics, and/or qualitative methods.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Writing competence, ideally with previous experience in publishing scientific articles in English.
