A full-time assistant mandate is granted for an initial term of 2 years, renewable after advice from the competent bodies for 2 other periods of 2 years maximum. The objective of this mandate being to conduct and finalize a doctoral thesis, the tasks will be equitably distributed between 'Teaching' and 'Research'. These may be re-examined on a regular basis.
The research activities of this position will be dedicated to the study of the implication of new activities of GroEL proteins of M. tuberculosis involved in virulence. The regulation of the expression of specific genes, which can participate in mechanisms of survival and essential adaptation in the event of stress, will be addressed at different levels, epigenetic, transcriptional, translational and post-translational.
This research will be carried out in the Microbiology laboratory within the Microbiology, Bioorganic and Macromolecular Chemistry Unit whose main research axis is the study of the molecular mechanisms involved in tolerance and resistance to antibiotics, particularly in M. tuberculosis. This research promotes the discovery of new molecules or new antimicrobial combinations.
