At the chair of energy economics and assistant professorship of energy market design, we are investigating a broad range of energy markets, carriers, and infrastructures, their decarbonization, digitalization, and decentralization, related questions of sector coupling, regulation, and market design, as well as the role of energy in the macroeconomy.
We closely collaborate with the Institute of Energy Economics (EWI), the Faculty’s Key Research Initiative on Sustainable Smart Energy & Mobility (SSEM), and the Faculty’s Excellence Cluster ECONtribute.

YOUR TASKS

• You will contribute to the faculty’s research and teaching (4 SWS) in the field of energy economics. In doing so, you are expected to pursue your own independent research agenda, while collaborating with researchers at the EWI, SSEM, and ECONtribute. Teaching tasks would include training for students and doctoral candidates as well as the co-supervision of bachelor and master theses.

YOUR PROFILE

• You are an economist closely before or after completion of your doctoral degree, with passion for energy topics. You have a track record in energy economics research, ideally demonstrated by at least one publication in a recognized international peer-reviewed journal. You are proficient in econometric or numerical methods. You like thinking independently and working in a team.

The position is available immediately on a full-time basis (39,83 hours per week). The position is limited for a fixed term of two years. If the applicant meets the relevant wage requirements and personal qualifications, the salary is based on remuneration group 13 TV-L of the pay scale for the German public sector.
