The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance offers three Bachelor programmes, four Master programmes of Management and Economics and six Masters of Laws (LL.M.), as well as several continuing education courses. It also includes the Doctoral School in Law and the Doctoral School in Economics and Finance. Around 2,500 students from 90 different nationalities are enrolled at the Faculty. Academic staff from 18 different nationalities teach at the Faculty, supported by practitioners from the field, visiting scholars and guest professors. The Department of Finance of the Faculty of Law, Economics, and Finance is searching for a Research Scientist working in Asset Management and/or Sustainable Finance.
The goal of the Research Scientist in Asset Management and Sustainable Finance is to build up and to maintain a bridge between academic excellence and industry relevance. You will be the content oriented link between the academic finance profession and the financial industry, financial regulators, and national and supranational institutions. You will boost scientific knowledge dissemination and diffusion related to academic research in the area of Asset Management. Particular focus is laid on the interactions of Asset Management and Sustainable Finance.
You will engage in research projects in close collaboration with the industry. In particular, you will engage in research projects in early phases, enabling successful grant applications. As such, you are expected to identify, apply for, and manage research funding. In addition, you will engage in disseminating knowledge, for example through organizing academia-meets-industry events, life-long learning activities, and through social media. You can conduct your own research in Asset Management and/or Sustainable Finance and you will engage in the teaching activities of the department, both in Bachelor/Master programs and in life-long learning activities.
You are expected to disseminate results at international scientific conferences and workshops, and to support the development of scientific articles for publication and dissemination. You are expected to supervise PhD students in the field of Asset Management and/or Sustainable Finance. You are expected to contribute to the outreach activities of the Department of Finance to ensure effective communication of topical research to the wider society.
You will be reporting to the head of the Department of Finance. You will also closely collaborate with the department’s outreach officer who coordinates the relations with the Financial Markets.
