We are now looking for Research Scientist / Senior Scientist, MEMS design to join us

MEMS team is developing several types of MEMS (micro-electro-mechanical-systems) components that enable especially the next generation radio and telecommunication systems (6G) and digitalization of health care and quantum computing  etc. We are a multi-national group of experts.

Your responsibilities as a Research Scientist/Senior Scientist:

  • Modelling and designing MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) devices for various sensing applications including healthcare.
  • Searching for new applications of MEMS devices and figuring out how to solve various problems with silicon and thin film technology based MEMS
  • Collaborating closely with the experts manufacturing the devices and designing the full sensing system including electronics and software with colleagues.

Who we are looking for:

  • M.Sc. or D.Sc. level degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in numerical simulation of MEMS and/or microacoustics (e.g. Comsol Multiphysics or similar software)
  • Understanding sensor systems from the sensor to electronics and software
  • Understanding of theory of elasticity and piezoelectricity
  • Know-how in silicon as a material and its use in MEMS
  • Experience in using Matlab and /or Python
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Excellent reporting skills

We consider as assets also:

  • Knowledge on materials, thin films  and  manufacturing technology of microelectronic devices
  • Expertise in characterisation of sensors and electronics components
  • Electronics design and prototyping skills
  • Programming skills, embedded systems
  • Lithographic layout design skills
  • Know-how in some specific field of sensing applications
