Welcome to Hochschule Wismar, University of Applied Sciences, Technology, Business and Design! A long name which clearly outlines our concept: three modern disciplines under one roof - interdisciplinary and practice oriented. There are a number of good reasons why the University of Wismar often scores highly in national and regional rankings.
We are an entrepreneurial institute of higher education, not just in the organisation and design of optimal conditions for studying and working but also in terms of what we pass on to our graduates: the ability to develop innovative ideas and to implement them in sustainable fashion. This is what we call entrepreneurial spirit. For dynamism originates inside the head and is then transmitted to the surroundings. The University of Wismar works hand in hand with academic institutions and business partners in the region and around the globe. This provides scope for new topics, perspectives and cooperation projects.
The development of innovations requires an inspiring working climate and the appropriate degree of on-site support. Our students find both in the form of state-of-the-art laboratories and workshops on our online campus, one-on-one supervision and a certified, family-friendly infrastructure. There are only short distances to cover on campus, whether in Wismar or at the branches in Rostock-Warnemünde and Poel.
