Description of the research activity:
The Horizon Europe project ASSETS examines how the Social Economy (SE), representing over 10% of EU enterprises and 13.6 million jobs, contributes to social inclusion, quality employment, and sustainability. SE organizations face challenges including funding constraints, scaling difficulties, and limited tools for assessing their social impact. ASSETS addresses these gaps through comparative research, case studies, improved impact assessment tools and a collaborative digital platform. The position involves: (a) analyzing political, regulatory, and labor conditions in SE sectors across the EU; (b) conducting a case study of housing, community building and local development in Bolzano; (c) preparing scientific and practice-oriented publications; and (d) disseminating research findings in collaboration with national and international partners.
The Free University of Bozen/Bolzano was founded on 31 October 1997 as a multilingual, internationally oriented institution.
