IT:U is a new technical university in Austria (Linz) dedicated to digital transformation, driven by interdisciplinary research and project-based learning to actively shape this transformation and advance it with a solution-oriented approach.

Join us as a

Librarian for Digital University Library (f/m/d)*

20 - 40h part or full-time possible | On-site in Linz (AT)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Licensing and procurement of electronic (literature) resources, including budget monitoring, contract negotiations, and representation of the IT:U Library in the "Kooperation E-Medien Österreich" (KEMÖ).
  • Supplier and publisher management: maintaining contacts, evaluating offers, and managing open access licenses.
  • Indexing and administration of electronic resources, including metadata management and inventory tracking.
  • Support & service: second-level support for users and general administrative tasks (e.g., card management, fee billing, statistics).
  • Optional: Teaching information literacy in collaboration with the IT:U Writing Center. 

Your strengths and skills:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Studies or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience in licensing electronic resources for academic libraries, completion of librarian training, or an equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience working with ALMA and PRIMO
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English and German at a minimum C1 level

Competitive compensation starting from € 38.000 yearly gross salary.
