Are you interested in how leading industries are implementing the AI Act at the forefront of technical development? To achieve AI innovations that comply with regulations, we need to bridge the gap between law and technology by developing guidelines and tools that align with the necessary quality and risk management processes. In this cross-disciplinary and cross-sector project, you have a unique opportunity to participate and actively contribute to this process at Scania. We are offering an industrial post-doctoral position located at KTH and co-funded by Scania and the Digital Futures Center. The goal is to lead pioneering research on developing technical guidelines for compliance with the AI Act, focusing on transparency, privacy, technical robustness, and addressing unfair bias. Within these domains of trustworthy AI, your work will involve conducting comprehensive analyses of upcoming AI Act implementation guidelines and relevant AI standards. You will research and develop advanced technical guidelines for AI compliance, contribute to their integration into Scania’s existing AI governance processes, and develop strategic awareness and training programs to ensure sustained legal and ethical AI deployment.
Cross-disciplinary and cross-sector supervision will be provided by T. Oechtering (KTH, technical), S. Greenstein (SU, legal), and R. Mochaourab (Scania, AI Strategy Manager focusing on Responsible AI and Chairman of the TRATON AI Domain Working Group on AI Governance, Ethics, and Guidelines).
