The Swiss National Data and Service Center for the Humanities (DaSCH) is Switzerland's national research data infrastructure for the humanities and is affiliated with the University of Basel. It supports researchers in the sustainable preparation, preservation, and dissemination of research data. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an engaged and collaborative professional to coordinate the Research Data Unit and support researchers working on data-intensive projects.
  • Coordinate client project support activities within the Research Data Unit
  • Organise and facilitate team meetings, monitor and develop team processes, and foster effective collaboration
  • Contribute to the acquisition and management of externally funded projects
  • Support and participate in training activities, community engagement initiatives, and academic events
  • Assist researchers and project teams in using the DaSCH Service Platform (DSP) and the SWISSUbase for Humanities platform
  • Maintain and develop collaborations with national and international partner institutions
  • Advise and support researchers and project teams in the preservation and sustainable use of research data
  • Conduct AI-assisted data analysis, data cleaning, data modelling, and data import activities

Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • PhD in the humanities, theology, law, economics, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification
  • At least five years of research experience
  • Experience in acquiring third-party funding
  • Experience with Digital Humanities methods and computational approaches
  • Experience with research data management and database systems
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Basic programming skills
  • Proven track record of integrating agentic AI tools and LLMs into daily workflows to automate complex tasks and accelerate delivery


Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Good knowledge of German
