Your Role...

The Project Manager will support the Principal Investigator(s) in the implementation of the “The National Competence Hub in Research in Cybersecurity and Cyber Defence (“CyberHub”) funded by the Directorate of Defence of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA). The CyberHub aims at carrying out and strengthening current Research, Knowledge and Technology Transfer and Education related to Cybersecurity and Cyber Defence in Luxembourg. The Project Manager shall guarantee efficient project governance and mobilise resources to execute the project and contribute to the development of other activities related to the Strategic Area of Cybersecurity at SnT. He/she will define and execute the roadmap to deliver and monitor project objectives.

  • Support the Principal Investigator in charge of the CyberHub in the day-to-day management of the project with a high degree of autonomy
  • Keep overview of all ongoing activities in coordination with relevant stakeholders (e.g., Principal Investigator, researchers, internal clients)
  • Follow up on the project plan that includes resourcing, planning, risk mitigation, quality control and organisational requirements
  • Draw up periodic and ad hoc reports for decision making committees and/or Principal Investigator
  • Organise regular projects meetings at all levels of the governance structure
  • Follow-up on project deliverables and progress on milestones including critical path and risk management
  • Adjust project planning in cooperation with the Principal Investigator
  • Provide key performance indicators (budget, publication, etc.)
  • Contribute to communication regarding the CyberHub and its milestones in liaison with the communication Team
  • Act as interface in all internal and external stakeholder’s relationship management activities by contributing to the development and maintenance of the CyberHub network
  • Ensure that the CyberHub network is informed and encourages the connection between the stakeholders
  • Prepare and contribute to reporting and closing activities such as compiling and providing reports, ensuring feedback to external and internal stakeholders

Your Profile...

  • PhD Degree in Computer Science in a subject related to Cybersecurity of Cyberdefence
  • Several years of work experience in project/programme management; proven record of successfully managing and completing all aspects of large, complex and organisational-wide projects including implementation and change management.
  • Previous work experience in the cybersecurity/cyberdefence sector or in academia and research environment would be appreciated
  • High degree of autonomy in the implementation of the CyberHub
  • Analytical and conceptual skills with proven ability to adapt to new situations and develop creative solutions in complex, multicultural and multi-stakeholder environments
  • Project/programme management certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Six Sigma, Scrum
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate, consult, influence and build consensus at a number of levels
  • Fluent in English. Knowledge of French, German and/or Luxembourgish would be appreciated
