Your Responsibilities
- Independent research and publication activities in the field of sport science, with a focus on training interventions in resistance, flexibility, or endurance training using modern biomechanical and physiological assessment methods.
- Participation in the research projects of the working group.
- Involvement in the preparation and submission of third-party funded research proposals.
- (Co-)supervision of students in the context of Bachelor’s and Master’s theses as well as dissertations at the Institute of Human Movement Science, Sport and Health.
- Teaching courses (including, where applicable, practical sport-related courses) and supervising students.
- Participation in university self-governance and organizational tasks within the institute.
Your Profile
- Completed doctoral/Ph.D. degree in a natural science or medically oriented field related to human movement science, sport science, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in research related to flexibility, strength, and/or endurance training
- Excellent knowledge of English corresponding to CEFR level C1.
- Very good knowledge of German or willingness to acquire German language skills corresponding to CEFR level B2 within two years.
- International publication and presentation experience in the field of human movement and sport science.
- Excellent practical experience in the use of modern equipment for biomechanical (3D motion analysis, dynamometry, electromyography, ultrasound, etc.) and physiological (spirometry, NIRS, etc.) assessments.
- Excellent practical skills in the planning, implementation, and analysis of training science experiments.
- Excellent statistical and IT skills, including basic programming knowledge (e.g., MATLAB, Python, etc.).
- Experience in applying for third-party funded research projects.
- Teaching competence for contributing to courses in sport and movement science as well as sport pedagogy and didactics (Bachelor’s and Master’s programs).
- Independent and self-responsible working style.
- Reliability.
- Organizational skills and ability to work in a team.
