Tietoja työnantajasta

Blekinge Institute of Technology, BTH, is one of the most distinctly profiled higher education institutions in Sweden, with a vision to be a globally attractive knowledge community within applied IT and innovation for sustainable growth. The applied IT profile means that BTH conducts high-quality engineering research that is integrated with other disciplines such as management and health science to ensure sustainable development. BTH conducts education and research at a high international level where learning is central for both the student and the teacher as researcher. BTH was founded in 1989 and today has over 7200 registered students and about 500 employees. In 1999, BTH got the right to give doctoral degrees in engineering. Today we run doctoral level study programmes in "IT with applications" and "Planning and Management". Both our main campus in Karlskrona and our other campus in Karlshamn neighbors the sea. Characteristic of BTH is the close cooperation with industry and the community which permeates both research and education at a regional, national and international level. Research represents one third of our operation.
